Clwb Siarad 5/12/19 – Learn Welsh with us each month

What excitement!  We featured on Wales’ national radio station, Radio Cymru, this morning.  We had 15 minutes of interview with the very popular broadcaster, Shan Cothi.  Shan was delighted to discover that there is a thriving Welsh Club in Preston, and even more delighted that we teach Welsh and do all we can to promote the language.  Well done to the learners who spoke with Shan live on air – it’s just a pity that we didn’t have the whole programme to ourselves so that everyone could have a go.  It was a great way to end 2019.  Season’s greetings and a Happy New Year to all our members and followers – and a reminder that our next meeting is not the first Thursday of January – it’s the second Thursday:  9/1/2020, 10.00am upstairs in the Harris Library, with the reading group meeting at 1.00pm.

Am gynnwrf!  Roedden ni’n eitem ar Radio Cymru bore ‘ma.  Cawson gyfweliad o 15 munud gyda’r ddarlledwraig hynod bobologaidd, Shan Cothi.  Roedd Shan wrth ei bodd i ddarganfod bod na Glwb Cymraeg llwyddiannus yn Preston, yn enwedig am ein bod ni’n dysgu Cymraeg ac yn gwneud pob dim i hyrwyddo’r iaith.  Da iawn, wir, i bob un o’r dysgwyr wnaeth siarad â Shan yn fyw ar yr awyr.  Mae’n drueni na chawson y rhaglen yn ei chyfanrwydd er mwyn i bawb gael cyfle i roi cynnig arni.  Roedd hi’n ffordd wych i orffen 2019.  Cyfarchion y tymor a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda i bob un o’n haelodau a’n dilynwyr – ac atgoffiad nad yw ein cyfarfod nesa ddydd Iau cyntaf o Ionawr – ond yr ail ddydd Iau:  9/1/2020, 10.00yb, lan lofft yn Llyfrgell yr Harris, gyda’r Grŵp Darllen yn cyfarfod am 1.00yp.
