Clwb Siarad 6/9/18 – Learn Welsh with us each month

The first meeting of 18-19 was busy, purposeful and well attended – and, as always, full of fun.  We began by discussing what we had done over the summer to practise Welsh.  Next we prepared for the day out in Rhuthun, practising imaginary conversations in the cafe and the book shop.  Everyone had remembered their £10 members’ fee and the new procedure of checking personal details and signing GDPR consent forms worked really well.  Lunch was less successful, despite all our efforts to organise it with the Harris cafe beforehand.  Things will hopefully run more smoothly next month.  The afternoon Reading Group meeting in the new location of the Education Room was excellent.  We looked at two articles from Lingo Newydd and discussed “My favourite ……  is ….. because …..”.  Then we began to read “The Stalker” by Manon Steffan Ros – a challenge, but we’re up for it!

Roedd cyfarfod cynta 18-19 yn brysur a bwriadol gyda llawer yn bresennol.  Cawson hwyl – fel arfer.  Dechreuon wrth drafod be’ wnaethon ni dros yr haf i ymarfer y Gymraeg.  Nesa’  wnaethon ni baratoi am y trip i Ruthun, gan ymarfer sgyrsiau dychmygol yn y caffi a’r siop lyfrau.  Mi wnaeth bawb gofio eu £10 – ffi aelodaeth – ac mi wnaeth y drefn newydd o sieco manylion personol ac arwyddo ffurflenni cydsynio GDPR weithio’n dda iawn.  Roedd amser cinio’n llai llwyddiannus, er gwaetha’n hymdrechion gorau i’w drefnu gyda’r caffi yn yr Harris ymlaen llaw.  Gobeithio bydd pethau’n well mis nesa.  Roedd cyfarfod prynhawn y Grŵp Darllen yn y fangre newydd, yr Ystafell Addysg, yn wych.  Edrychon ar ddau erthygl o Lingo Newydd a siaradon am “Fy hoff ….  ydy ….. achos …..”.  Wedyn dechreuon ddarllen “Y Stelciwr” gan Manon Steffan Ros.  Her fawr – ond dan ni’n barod amdani!
