Since our monthly Clwb Siarad meeting this November we’ve been formally constituted as a charity. We’ll be setting up a page on here for the Constitution and other club business.
It’s exciting for Anne, Margaret and me, because in February this year there were just the three of us meeting for a coffee in the café at The Harris and wondering how to set up a Welsh Club in mid-Lancashire. Now there are twentytwo of us to come to our monthly Clwb Siarad meetings and nearly forty on our mailing list.
We’re very grateful for all the help we’ve had: the big picture and story the Lancashire Evening Post ran in March, Lancashire Libraries at The Harris giving us free publicity and monthly meeting space, and the continuing support of members of the former Clwb Clebran.
Now we have a proper club structure and our first committee (the Constitution calls them Trustees) we can invite all who support us to become members and help the club to develop further. If you aren’t already on our mailing list, do contact us, please.
